Gravel Pile Removal and Parking Lot Enlargement:
Restoration dollars associated with the Libby asbestos clean-up have recently been allocated through the Natural Resource Damage Program to fund several local projects related to recreation. Among those is the removal of the waste gravel pile leftover from construction of the Flower Creek Dam and construction of an enlarged parking lot. Thanks to support from the city of Libby, this will be a huge improvement for holding events in the future.
Also on the list are some improvements to the Norgard trail.
You can learn more about these projects at: https://dojmt.gov/NRDP-sites/libby-asbestos/
